You should notify a water provider when you occupy new premises.
If you do not enter into a Water Supply Contract after you occupy your new premises you will be placed on default 'deemed' rates by the local water supplier.
Check the wording of your lease or rental agreement to be clear about your liability as a tenant.
If you’re a tenant and aren’t currently receiving a water bill, check with your landlord.
Note* - Often rents which are ‘inclusive of rates’ don’t include water charges.
